The Gulch is truly one of the Whitsundays most unique residences set amongst the rainforest and constructed with a passionate regard for the environmental and wildlife principles.
The property was named The Gulch by the current owners because of the stunningly beautiful natural watercourse that runs between the main house and the entertainer’s pool area.
The house itself is a handcrafted masterpiece with over 26 different species of timber used in the construction mostly sourced from the Whitsunday area including special pieces of timber from a few of the Whitsundays Islands.
The current owners of the property have strived to keep the natural form of the timber where possible, every bench top, architrave and handrail has been hand polished and formed to compliment the natural beauty of the surrounding forest.
From the main residence the creek is crossed by a suspension bridge over to the unique pool area. The pool was designed to look like a natural lagoon which is complemented by the undercover seating area and outdoor kitchen built with the same care and quality as the main house.
Flowing down for the pool area is an outdoor toilet as well as a large pottery shed/work shop area and multiple man made dams. With five acres of land, privacy and tranquillity at your doorstep this property would make the perfect artesian home or rainforest retreat.
