Patches of rain forest, strategically placed, hide the house from view of the road.
As you drive up the all weather driveway, past the garden where the Emerald Green Fruit doves live, the house slowly emerges at the rear of the property.
Behind the house runs a mountain stream which provides the home with fresh water and also forms the back border of the block. The stream has a well used Cassowary trail and you will occasionally see Cassowaries feeding on native fruits like the Burdekin Plum or Quandong fruit.

The home has verandas on three sides and when sitting on the front veranda you enjoy parkland views of the acreage with stag horns and crows nests growing in the trees and rising above, in the distance, is Thorntons Peak. This peak is visible for only 58days per year and conjures up images of Wizards, Witches and fairy lands as the clouds swirl around the peak and outcrops.

Orange, lime, Mandarin, Mulberry, Star apple, Supartie and other exotic fruit trees have been established on the block Native trees have also been planted which attract a wide variety of native bird life, honeyeaters, doves, cassowaries’ and the beautiful Ulysses butterfly.

The home, constructed of Western Red Cedar and huge wooden beams, blends into the environment.
