Our vendors are regular entertainers so they needed to build a home that maximised the view of the park, gave them privacy from the neighbours, and minimised the effect of parties on the neighbourhood. To do this the 1) built in a sound system for the patio roof which directs the noise downward as opposed to speakers pointing out, 2) built the pool with easy access to the main bathroom and the toilet, and 3) made the laundry big enough to double as functional bar area for parties. The main rumpus has also been wired for surround sound and there are ample television points throughout the 3 easy living lounge/rumpus areas.

To operate a home business they installed a separate telephone line in the study so that the kids do not have to ever answer the phone for business purposes, installed an attic for record storage with ladder access through the laundry, and built the office next to the 3 car lock up garage so that one can come and go throughout the day and not impact on the house proper.

The home was built to be energy efficient with a gas on line to a hotplate, gas oven, and hot water system. They had the pool, ducted air conditioning and the freezer hard wired to attract the off peak tariff savings. Each room has the option of turning the ducted air on or off on an individual basis.

The selection of dark coloured carpets may surprise some but they are very easy to clean and do not show any dirt whatsoever. A new dishwasher has also just been installed.

There has also been power and lights installed down the unused side of the house in case a work shop or golf buggy storage should be built in the future.

This home enjoys the proximity of an open space park just over the fence. There are no swings or play grounds, just a large mango tree and council tended lawn.
