This Haughton River Cane Farm had been totally converted to irrigated pasture by a previous owner but the current owners have almost completed its return to total sugar cane production.

A total area of 602 acres (243.65 ha), the farm has a possible Cane production area of 490 acres (198 ha).

Current production is approximately 15,000 tonnes but it can easily grow 20,000 tonnes when it’s assets are fully utilised.

Water is not an issue with a Sunwater allocation of 1,400 megalitres. There are 2×6″ centrifugal pumps, 1×8″ centrifugal pump, 2×6″ submersible pumps and there is a spare diesel unit in the shed. There is a mix of river and bore water distributed through underground pipes to gated outlets to all paddocks on the farm.

There are two quality air-conditioned homes and sheds on the farm situated close to the river where Barramundi fishing is so popular during the open season.

Machinery is not included in the price of $3.3 Million but the vendors would consider negotiation if preferred.

This farm could sustain a large family unit and with a sustainable sugar industry it is a Ag business to consider.
