‘Border North’ townhouses in Currumbin have been carefully planned and designed to create affordable, environmentally friendly homes with modern flair. The design team brief was to utilise the natural elements of the site to create an attractive, yet environmentally sensitive blend of residences to complement the existing community.

Featuring two car parking spaces, large courtyards with low maintenance gardens and located close to schools, shops, beaches, parks and clubs. This Currumbin Valley development is specifically small pet friendly and importantly close to public transport, for people looking for an economical lifestyle. A range of construction materials and techniques have been used to produce homes that are unique in character with many environmentally sensitive design features. Some of these features include energy and water efficient appliances and fittings, natural lighting, mains-connected natural gas and rainwater tanks.

Site orientation and internal positioning of living spaces were important elements in maximizing the energy efficiency of the dwellings. To further complement this, our architects designed a roof profile positioned to capture the cooling valley and ocean breezes that sweep through the area. This design feature is further enhanced with high ceilings and large room sizes, reducing the need for air-conditioning, as the natural sub-tropical climate of the area is effectively utilized.

‘Border North’ has been intentionally designed for comfort and convenience without compromising the environment.
