A rare opportunity to secure this unique outstanding piece of prime Ipswich Real Estate…
Although there is no record of when Ginn Cottage was built it is believed to be older than the court house. William Ginn bought the land from the NSW Government in November 1858 and council rates books show the cottage was built by early 1860, making it the oldest residence in Ipswich.

Ginn Cottage was built for merchant William Ginn his second wife Eliza Jane as her bridal house where they went on to have six sons and five daughters. The Cottage is one of the few surviving in Ipswich that has an attic and dormer windows. In more recent times the Cottage was restored in the 70s by the Buchanan the President of the National Trust and was used as their home and office.

The Cottage was purchased and turned into a charming inner city restaurant enjoyed by many Ipswich residents. Purchased 3 years ago by the current owners it has been returned to a beautiful cosy home and is now offered for sale.

Enjoy inner City living a short stroll to the movies, restaurants and shopping, or maximise the zoning and reinstate the restaurant or business premises.
