A bit about Theebine.
Theebine is a historic town which was established around the 1900s to service the railway junction where the Kingaroy railway line branched from the main North Coast railway line. Initially the Kingaroy line was only built to service the gold and copper mining ventures in Kilkivan. Theebine at that time was called Kilkivan Junction. Now days the town is best known for the Theebine Hotel, a popular tourist attraction. The Theebine Hotel was first built in 1909. The hotel has been renovated with work concluding in November 2003.
