The production of the raw product, used in the business, is produced from 100 acres of fertile lockyer valley irrigated farmland of which approximately 95 acres is cultivated and can be watered from 5 bores and a creek licence. Only 1 bore being equipped and used to pump 10,000 G.P. H. through a total of approximately 3 klm of Underground Mains & hydrants. (mostly 6” P V C with some 4” across the creek ) Servicing a 80m travelling boom irrigator doing 400m runs, and several spraylines on stands for 200m long coverage.
Lucerne is grown and cut in 8 acre strips for ease of management and rotation. New lucerne being replanted every 3 years. 40 acres currently in production.
The remainder of the cultivation is planted to oats or barley for hay, to be utilised in a Product mix which is sold to the public, or some areas left to fallow in rotation.
Improvements include a fully renovated two bedroom highset family home with a new open plan kitchen, new spacious bathroom plus heaps of space to enjoy on the north/east facing verandas, fitted with clear plastic blinds to giving year round comfort.
