Original Italian orchardist’s cottage built from local quarried stone. This is the last of a number of stone dwellings in the Crafers district built by the Lombardian born Rossini stonemasons, following their immigration in the 1860′s. Constructed as an Italian “peasant style” cottage it features 4 main rooms with original wood stove, timber floors, doors and window frames in a simple but solid structure.
The cottage was positioned to overlook the orchard on the most prominent level area resulting in an easily accessible site of approx 4,777 square metres with a northerly aspect and far reaching vista’s, within a semi-rural setting.
Here is a unique opportunity with the potential to recreate a Mediterranean ambience through thoughtful renovation and extension.
