A wonderful location with fabulous 270 views, particularly across the Onkaparinga Valley and overlooking the township of Oakbank plus the Oakbank Easter Racecourse facilities. The ever changing seasons are observed with the vineyards, apple orchards and the mature English trees, dotted around the immediate valley.

This home is exceptionally well built of solid brick construction and 9′ ceilings throughout. Completely renovated throughout with new painting, new quality wool carpets, new light fittings and new Verosol blinds, which actually one can see through and which have insulating qualities.

A brand new AGA slow combustion stove has been installed which includes a hot water jacket, Hydronic radiant heating units/panels have been installed. This unit also has gas and electric back up. The spacious L shaped lounge/dining area has an Email air reverse cycle split system and ceiling fan. The hallway offers two sets of built in robes 1 x 3 door and 1 x 2 door. The main bedroom offers 6 door width floor to ceiling robes. There are two other bedrooms both with built-ins, plus a huge living/family room with open picture book windows, floating floors and downlights. Finally a small lobby area links the outside through the kitchen door. The new kitchen (existing appliances) offers plenty of cupboard area, lovely views and is light and bright. The laundry offers 2 door robes and toilet. There is also a separate toilet. The brand new bathroom offers shower, bath, and 2 door vanity.

Further improvements include the 2 x 27,000 litre cement tanks, which also offer final filter and gutter (down pipe flushing facilities). There is also a 13, 000 litre galvanised back-up rainwater tank. The bore pumps into a header tank with a float valve controlling the bore pump. The house garden turns on according to programmes set on the control unit. This unit has 2 programmes with stations for irrigation of the Olive Grove and stations for the house garden. The filter irrigation system includes a fertigation unit on line to the groves plus house garden, which also is used to combat silt build up in the sprinklers. There is also a wood shed and a new 20′ x 20′ colour bond shed with cement floor, light and power (it’s own circuit breakers) and includes a timing unit for the bore Goldtec process (controlling silt build up in the irrigation system). A totally new power board has been installed to meet current standards, allowing for the isolation of one of the 3 sections (irrigation, shed and house) should one of the sections overload.

The Olive grove plantation is a boutique enterprise of 300 Tuscany Olive trees Frantoio, Leccino and Pendolina varieties (some trees have recently been removed) The trees are sprinkler irrigated and produced 420 litres of oil in 2008, 680 litres in 2009 and 500 litres in 2010. (Olive trees have peak production once every 2 years). The trees are still developing. The Extra Virgin Olive Oil (EVOO) is processed by Dianna Olive Oil of Willunga and they have purchased most of the Extra Virgin Olive Oil each year. This year’s oil was classified as ‘very good EVOO’. Picking can be by hand, however the crop included machine harvesting last year. The best and most efficient approach has been found to be hand picking using a picking team using two backpack battery ‘shakers’.

New kitchen, new bathroom, exceptionally well maintained solid brick home, with far reaching views – the very best!

All in all a very special offering, just 30 minutes from Adelaide.
