Quality vineyard offering red varieties including contracted fruit and water allocation.

The vineyard was planted in 1998 and is now in a prime state. There are the following varieties planted: Shiraz 3.7 hectares, Merlot 3.51 hectares and Cabernet Sauvignon 4 hectares. There is a trellised area for another 0.4 hectares of Cabernet with irrigation.

The vineyard has an authorisation to water 11.7 hectares via a bore owned via 1/3 share of a water company.

The vine rows are 2.75 metres apart and the vines are planted 1.5 metres apart. This provides 970 vines per acre or 2,424 vines per hectare.

The sale of the grapes is currently under contract to a company called Tinlin’s Wines. The contract expires in 2010. Management of Braeside Vineyard is currently handled by a company called Pridham Viticulture (www.pridhamviticulture.com.au). They are prepared to continue to manage the vineyard for whomever purchases it should their services be required.

Braeside Vineyard is a “cool climate” vineyard and can be located on “Google Earth” on coordinates 35 deg 21′ 34.93″ South/138 deg 46′ 35.50″ East.
