The Vineyard
The vineyard is approximately 13 acres in total area
Shiraz vines clone 1654 on Schwarzmann rootstock – the classic variety for which our region is known (approx 10 acres)
Yield is 3-4 tones per acre of premium quality grapes
Very special (55years old approx) dry grown Grenache vines (approx 3 acres)

The property is serviced by a bore, however the vines are almost (intentionally) dry grown for enhanced flavour and quality. The water allocation is 4.5 mega litres pa. There are 2 licensed wells, one of which is fully equipped with a sand filter and submersible pump.
The current owners have established their own award winning label (not included in the sale). The vineyard is essentially dry grown and very typical of a dry grown vineyard in the Blewitt Springs part of the Mclaren Vale appellation.
Highest quality materials and expertise have been used to construct and develop the vineyard.
The vineyard is fully equipped with irrigation. An automated controller which controls approx 11 stations and is fed by a large pump. This system also has a number of filters.
The current owners have a Producers License which enables them to produce and sell wine including from the cellar door.
