Location
The Talmara properties are ideally located just 10km east of Coonalpyn in the South East of South Australia. This area enjoys an excellent reputation for quality country and easily accessed shallow bore water. The district is well serviced from regional centres Murray Bridge and Keith while Adelaide is approximately 175km by road.
Rainfall
Situated in close proximity to the coast, the district approx. annual average rainfall is 425mm to 475mm.
Land Type
Soil types include heavier red loam flats varying to slightly undulating productive loams. Crops have included cereals, legumes, oilseed and hay. Currently the whole of the property is dedicated to pasture including lucerne, sub clover, medics, primrose, veldt and grass typical of the district. Pastures are in excellent heart.
The property has been destocked since early winter. Pastures have responded strongly to recent rains.

Production
