Slightly over 50 hectares of coastal land, about four miles inside the mouth of the Swan River, on the Dolphin Sands peninsula.
The land is flattish, and with pronounced small ridges running throughout, is of varied aspect and flora, and is utterly entrancing walking.
There’s abundant birdlife, and the undisturbed nature of this place allows the observer to disturb possums sleeping at ground level during the day!
vegetation is predominantly bottlebrush, boobyalla, she-oaks, casuarinas, blackwoods, acaias and one good stand of eucalypts, as well as coastal sedgegrasses.
It is completely undeveloped, with only 4WD tracks, without which, it would be quite easy to get lost ! Although only 125 acres, this is a pocket of real wilderness.
To the north, Moulting Lagoon sprawls for ten miles, years of exploration will not exhaust this !
To the south, Freycinet Peninsula beckons, with sea-kayaking, abseiling, diving, fishing, and walking in a World Heritage national park. Coles Bay is just a few minutes away in a tinny, and Wineglass Bay, Schouten Island and Maria Island all day trips.
Good bore water is accessible all over the peninsula, services are available at the boundary, and the ocean side of the peninsula is five minutes walk
The views are stupendous, in all directions
