At only 167 m above sea level this property is much earlier than farms closer to Oatlands and thus lambing and calving can be earlier while still having the benefit of high summer rainfall (usually) to finish lambs. The property has been named after the oyster bay pines on the property. Much of the bush has been put under conservation covenant.
The turnip crop pictured speaks for itself. It features a 4 stand Shearing shed, 3 bay Machinery shed (20×20.) It is watered by Dams, springs and the Pine Rivulet. It also has 2 sets of sheep yards and 1 silo. LAND: 2600 acres 700 acres ploughable. 2 x 500 ml dam sites as well as numerous other sites have been identified by a Farm Water Development Plan. One of the standout fearures is the strong stands of microlaena native grass which is very productive in the bush areas and is particularly prevalent on South Pine Hills which is also for sale next door. The fertile areas around the sheds and yards are carrying thick stands of ryegrass. The farm has the benefit of being sheltered from the prevailing westerly winds and being relatively frost free like the East Coast due to being down off the Oatlands plateau.
