We originally chose to live at 3 Oyster Court, Kettering so we could enjoy sailing on the magnificent waters of the D’Entrecasteaux Channel. The Marina is located one minute away and we enjoy a very good view of the yachts moored there from home while appreciating watching the boats coming and going. The sweeping views from our living room, bedroom, kitchen and computer room (3rd bedroom) are really wonderful, from Bruny Island and the Channel to the yachts on their moorings in the bay, to the top of Mt. Wellington and the Snug Tiers.

The house enjoys full sun from sunrise until it sets below the Tiers, a perfect Northerly aspect so important in Tasmania. Only 20 minutes away from a major shopping centre and our golf course. There is an excellent restaurant 5 minutes further down the highway, Peppermint Bay, if you would like to dine out.

We benefit from complete privacy, no one overlooking us and the views cannot be built out! The rooms are large and comfortable. It is an excellent home for entertaining with a large deck, swimming pool, pool house and patio. The pool has solar heating and again very private.

We park two cars beside the house under a large, substantial carport and enter the house under cover, very easy for unloading the shopping. We have an acre of garden around the house and about 20 mature fruit trees, we also have approximately 25 beautiful rose bushes and it is lovely to be able to swap fruit and vegetables with friends and enjoy a vase of lovely roses or give a bunch to someone special. We have very good neighbours and the area is both quiet and friendly with good community spirit.

Being on one level it is a very comfortable home and it is with great regret that we will be leaving and we hope the next owner of 3 Oyster Court will enjoy everything this home has to offer…
