This early Old Colonial Georgian Cottage has been generously enhanced with post-war additions, while maintaining the original essence of the bygone streetscape. The original cottage is thought to have been built by James Smith, the Oatlands tailor, and dates between 1837-1847.
The cottage is well set back from the road and is separated from the street by a large grassed verge with the front boundary then being subdivided by a cream picket fence and entrance arbour. To the right of the cottage is a free standing garage and further along a constructed privacy screen.
Physical entrance to the cottage is via a central hall with large rooms, each adorned by fireplaces, adjoining either side. The rooms are currently used as a master bedroom and a multifunction bedroom/office.
The latter built, rear-wing, incorporates two additional bedrooms, a large open lounge, dining and kitchen areas.
Further outside additions to the property include an undercover outdoor entertaining area, extensive plantings amongst the numerous garden beds, including precincts of vegetable, fruit and decorative floral.
