The trout are abundant in the famous Tyenna River that flows at the boundary of this very attractive acreage. The Tyenna is recognized as one of Tasmania’s finest river fisheries with plenty of plump river browns being captured over the years. Regular photos of large trophy fish feature in the local press; these exciting trout reside in pools up and down the length of the river. Crystal clear mountain water rollicks down from National Park, Russell Falls and the Florentine valley. The river banks feature thick native bush and willows, the river is easily waded and promises many hours of exciting fishing.
Imagine building your lodge on the pleasant grassy meadow and having the privacy of 72 acres and the lure of some of Tassie’s finest river fishing only a cast away from your deck (power and phone lines run through the block).

A short stroll brings you into Westerway where you will find a delightful caf, excellent coffee and a range of fresh, tempting treats. You can sit back in the riverfront caf and muse, you can trade fishing glories and stories with the locals or just read the papers enjoy your coffee before the river and the trout demand your attention again. Perhaps it’s just wander back to your lodge to rest up before another day of fishing and adventure.
National Park is only 10 minutes up the road, wonderful snowy alpine peaks and tarns invite your hiking and exploration. Hobart is just over an hours drive away.
