‘Shiny Grasstrees’ is 40ha of open woodland and forest at Clarence Point on the western shore of the Tamar River, about 55km north of Launceston and 8km north of Beaconsfield. The property is home to an endangered forest community and an endangered species of grasstree. The property has road frontage to Greens Beach Rd and Badger Head Rd, with access from Badger Head Rd.

The property contains an area of black gum (Eucalyptus ovata) woodland with a ground cover of buttongrass. Coastal black peppermint (Eucalyptus amygdalina) forest covers the balance of the property. A large population of Shiny Grass Trees are a special feature of this property.
