There are a number of “character” structures which include a shepherds cottage and other storerooms. The shearing shed has 3 stands and there are two hay barns and two machinery sheds. Water is pumped from Murphys Creek.

The “Shipps” title, the western block is the largest being 154.5 hectares (382 acres) and has the most elevated land on the farm. An abandoned house site has expansive mountain views. The largest dam is also on this title.

Again this block has good access to Murphys Creek and Maitland Road.

Currently there is a Conservation Covenant Plan being established over a small eucalypt forest.

The Bishopsbourne/Cressy district is less than 30 minutes drive to Launceston, the airport and only 10 minutes to Cressy or Longford. The immediate neighbours operate productive farming enterprises which include dairies, prime lamb, high value vegetables and poppies.
