Down stream from a cement ford crossing on Fishers Tier Road, magnificent mountain creek trout present as a challenge to fisherpersons who venture into these crystal clear waters.
Brace yourselves —- we’re talking an easy ten minutes drive from the comforts of “Lilyburn Cottage”.

The white quartz boulders and river stones pronounce the clear waters of this mountain stream. The famous Colonial landscape artist John Glover painted these river scenes when he lived at neighbouring “Patterdale” in the 1830′s.
