Water: Fairfield has a frontage of approximately eight kilometres of South Esk River, one of Tasmania’s most reliable and largest rivers. Total water rights are around 1,125 ml with storage capacity of 1,390 ml.

Rainfall: Rainfall 2013 was 669 ml and last 50 years average is 576mm.

Production: The owners of Fairfield have developed the cropping potential of both Fairfield and Somerset over the past ten years, whilst maintaining a Merino Flock 17.5 MICRON of the highest standard.
A Texel flock is run on Somerset together with a Merino x Texel fat lamb flock producing approximately 1000 fat lambs per year, together with a Merino wether flock. Current total stock number is approx 12,350.

Successful production includes:
