The elevation of this 42 hectare title provides spectacular 360 degree views of the entire Tamar River valley and all of the mountains in Northern Tasmania! The land is currently managed for intensive prime lamb production and dry land crops, which include lucerne, poppies and cereals. In recent seasons wheat has been sown in March, fed off to lambs over winter, locked up in early September and harvested for grain in summer. The free-draining red and brown loam soils have had lime and super phosphate applied when required. Lucerne paddocks are also top dressed with fertiliser in May and September.
The Evandale/White Hills region has become recognised as an ideal area to grow cool climate grapes. This gently sloping land adjoins “Glenard Farm” which is also now for sale. Both could be developed into successful vineyards.
