Glendale is nestled in the picturesque rolling countryside between the historic town of Evandale and White Hills in Tasmania’s Central North. The grand homestead is the design of Launceston architect Lionel Morrell who was inspired by the famous 20th century American architect Frank Lloyd Wright.
Glendale sits high amongst a patchwork of rolling pasture land, enabling its occupants to enjoy 360 degree views that take in the expanse of the Great Western Tiers to the west, Mount Barrow to the north and Ben Lomond to the East. Glendale is home to the second largest olive grove in Tasmania and the largest in the north of Tasmania. Planted in 2005 for the sole purpose of producing Premium Quality Extra Virgin Olive Oil, the approximate 9,500 tree Olive Grove will enter its second commercial year of harvest in 2012.
All aspects of production including pruning, mulching, irrigation, pest control, harvesting and processing are managed efficiently.
