This timeless classic has been wonderfully restored beyond its original beauty.
Originally built in the 1884 by Mr. C O’Reily family and known as a fine orchard and mixed farming property and originally then set on 56 acres. The Tucker family then gained ownership of the property and was kept in the family until 1998 when the property was sold and subdivided off to the adjoining farming property. The home at this time was quite run down and in need of some loving repairs and a lot of hard work. At this time the present owners purchased the home which now sits on a 7726m2 allotment and the restoration began. The home is beautifully presented and the owners have tried to keep its original features such as hand split boards in the kitchen and dining, polished floor boards, high ceilings, fire places restored and so much more. The roof was replaced and found underneath was the hand split timber roofing shingles that still remain in place to this day. With 3 large bedrooms all, combined kitchen and dining area, large lounge with huge French doors that open onto another formal lounge, a large sunroom, bathroom with claw foot bath and laundry with a large storage/utility room. The beautiful landscaped gardens are just magic with the tranquil sound of the water feature in the pond in the back ground and also the old outside toilet does remain (now on the modern flush system). The numerous out buildings include a double carport, single garage, various workshops, chook shed etc.
The choice of exotic trees planted (some) still remain, planted were Douglas Fir, the historic Cedar of Lebanon, Wellingtonia Pine, the Jupiter, Bunya Pine and many other varieties
