Take a step back to 1890 as you enter the one/two bedroom cottage, with open fire, and the partly enclosed verandah where you can sit, listen and watch the 80 species of birds and dozens of animals in this wildlife refuge, the home is in need of some love but would give you a good foothold for a weekender or permanent home. The owner calls it his garden house, where you can stroll along the paths at the foot of 200 ft mountain ash and take in the breathtaking views to Mt Cathedral or follow the path to the tree fern gullies and touch the 300 year old tree ferns.
If the original old home does not suit you then there is a new home site further up the mountain should you wish to rebuild (stca).
