A key component of the masterplan for the new Pakenham Racecourse, Racing.com Park, was the creation of “Trainer Allotments” precinct. This zoning, spanning 150 acres, allows for lot purchasers (with ownership unrestricted) to build stabling infrastructure and a dwelling on a clear title, ensuring a functional investment for years to come. These trainer allotments herald a new era for trainers in Victoria representing a more cost effective and sustainable business model.
With a minimum of 40 race meetings held annually at the site and a mix of turf, Polytrack synthetic and night meetings (night meetings commence 2016) living closer to work makes sense.
