This 4435sqm block (over an acre) with stupendous valley views and only 18kms (as the crow flies!) from the Perth CBD deserves the grandest of designs.

The architect’s brief was to capitalise on the views and north/easterly aspect, whilst being as environmentally friendly as possible.
There is no doubt that the architect, Adrian Iredale of Iredale Pedersen Hook, complied with his brief more than competently and the home was applauded by many of Perth’s top architectural gurus.

In 2007, the home was awarded the Laminex group architecture award for residential architecture – alterations. The judges commented that this was “A joyful architectural exploration of the relationship of building to site with the transformation of the uninspiring original house into an elegantly resolved living and viewing ‘platform’ taking full advantage of a spectacular site.” (The royal Australian institute of architects.)

This award was in Recognition of a Noteworthy Achievement of High Overall Architectural Standard.
