Moisture levels are monitored by 8 tensiometres, fertiliser is applied through a pressure pump fertigation injection system. Plant nutrition (leaf,root & soil ) and weather (by remote wireless sensors) are constantly monitored.
There are severals sheds for machinery, vehicle and general storage, the lawns and gardens are all on automatic reticulation and water to the house is supplied from a pressure pump on a well through a filtration system.
The orchard currently provides an excellent income and with the trees now reaching maturity and maximum production income will peak in the next 2-3 years providing a sustained return on investment for years to come.
