After my daily constitutional through the neighboring peaceful forest I came back to the gate of my superb NINE ACRE property, walked up the driveway past the LARGE SHED and magnificent stand of Jarrah, Marri and Blackbutt and decided to continue on down past my BORE, across the paddock to my small DAM to see the usual number of ducks swimming happily on the water.
Walking back to my house I noticed that my near new zincalume roof was clear of leaves. This meant that the forthcoming rains would flow uninterrupted into my 10,000 GALLON RAINWATER TANK.
I went inside and decided to vacuum the POLISHED BOARDS in the FOUR BEDROOMS, the carpet in the large lounge and the GAMES ROOM which enjoys sweeping views of the neighbours large dam and distant forest. There was a slight chill in the air so I lit the TILE FIRE to ensure the house was nice and warm for the kid’s arrival tonight. I went back outside and quickly gave the TENNIS COURT a blow over ready for tomorrow’s game… the grand kids versus the grandparents.
Then I thought that’s it for today, so I got myself a glass of red and sat back on a soft chair under the COVERED DECKING and watched the emus come down to water with the cattle on the neighbor’s property.
It’s a tough life when you live in your own piece of paradise, but hey, someone has to do it.
