Dear Buyer,
I was once a proud abode right near the heart of town. How I dazzled with my high ceilings, big rooms and decorative character features such as ceiling roses, cornices and elegant wallpaper.
I offered a solid retreat for my owners, with eye pleasing chunky awning windows, surrounds that showcased a rainbow of hibiscus flowers, an array of edible goodies, and space to create a soulful and enduring garden hideaway on my slope overlooking the outskirts of town and beyond to the mounts.
But I’ve aged, buyers, oh how I’ve aged!
My character features are a tad tatty, my fixtures are now more daggy than dynamic, and I’m in need of a serious pick me up to help me get on with my life as a loving abode.
I’ve still got something up my sleeve, mind you!
I’m big and beefy, a rare 1233 metre block in a prime location- and boy howdy will I spruce up like a modern day gentleman with a little bit of love and light.
You don’t have to have the imagination of a genius to imagine a warm and welcoming foyer in my existing entrance hall.
The king sized master bedroom located at my front could easy be made a masterpiece with some new drapes and a lick of paint.
The ornate features of the bathroom would add class to a new renovation around the deep bath, heritage style windows and mirrored medicine cabinet.
My substantial formal lounge room could help you blend contemporary with classic, when you add a new palate and modern furnishings to enhance my existing fireplace with wooden mantle which housed a gas heater.
The central hub at my heart can be made a social place of eating and laughing, and I offer up an original wood stove, a modern gas oven and stove and a sizable space to transform into a vibrant kitchen and dining area with room to move.
I’m also a good host, with a second king sized bedroom, a sunroom at the rear to create a possie to curl up with a book on a lazy day, and plenty of storage in my linen closet and bedroom sized store beside the back door.
My laundry houses the wear marks of a space used to the maximum, housing a separate toilet room and a recess shower which would benefit from a conversion to a second bathroom.
And oh how my yard could become a playground for the young and old. My humble BBQ area and ramp from the back door could make way for a full sized raised entertainer’s deck. My double garage and garden shed can house your cars and lifestyle playthings. My concrete pathways manoeuvre through the spacious yard offering up a tour through the yard to conjure up images of the grand yard that could be created with creative flare.
Please don’t be too hard on me, I’ve lived a good life, and given the opportunity, and a modern day makeover, I will line your pocket and never let you down.
Sincerely yours,
10 Victoria Street, an old guy with a lot to give!
