Our label is recognized internationally as one of the top 10 quality wine producers in Western Australia (Wein Gourmet Magazine, 2/2003). With it’s distinctive label and unique story, the name has established a solid market base in the West Australian boutique wine industry. This has been accomplished through a conscious ‘hands-on’ effort to produce the finest fruit from our vineyard, backed up by meticulous care in the winemaking process, by Robert Diletti, award winning winemaker from the neighbouring Castle Rock Estate – all supported by a carefully targeted marketing strategy.

The result is that the name has become a watchword in the industry for it’s consistently fine wines, numerous awards, and extensive coverage in both the national and internation wine press.

1. THE LABEL: Provides instant customer recognition in more that 30 of the finest restaurants and more than 100 bottle shops in Western Australia and the Sydney and Melbourne regions. We also export to the United States, the United Kingdom and the Maldives, and is currently working to develop export markets in China and Germany.

2. DIRECT SALES: Direct sales to premium customers are provided through our cellar door, arising from our increasing brand recognition and our regional iconic status as a destination vineyard. A quarterly newsletter and mail order form are provided to a mailing list of mroe than 500 loyal customers. This results in a significant mail order clientele who order (and re-order) our wines by phone, fax and email.

3. POINT OF SALE, BROCHURES AND NECK TAGS: We use distinctive plaques bearing the logo as a point of sale tool. Supporting the unique presentation of the label in fine restaurants and bottleshops, we have also developed complementary neck tags for shelf display, posters and brochures.

4. BRAND PRESENTATION IN THE GREAT SOUTHERN REGION: We receive regular referrals from Goundrys, Plantagenet and Dukes Wines and Taste Mount Barker. Our brochures are provided to the Albany Visitor’s Centre and Mount Barker Tourist Bureau, the Kodja Place (regional visitor’s centre in Kojonup) as well as a variety of ‘bed and breakfast’ accommodation’s in the region. We are also a featured advertiser in the Jorbens room brochure at The Esplanade, Albany’s only 5 start hotel.

5. TOURISM TOUCHSCREEN: We are a featured ‘must see’ attraction in the Albany region. Advertised via the ‘Tourism touchscreen’ system Australia wide. Our 30 second presentation provides a potential exposure to nearly 7 million people yearly. (Copies of the presentation slides are provided at the end of this package.)

6. DECKCHAIR THEATRE: We have the honour of being the exclusive wine sponsor for the award winning, internationally known deckchair theatre based in Fremantle, Western Australia for the 2004 season. The season begins on 15th December 2003 with ‘Shakespeare in the park’, showcasing ‘A Midsummer night’s Dream’ – and us – to an expected audience of 12,000 people in the Kings Park Botanic Garden in Perth, Western Australia.

Plus, our unique store ensures that the vineyard and the label excites regular and continuing editorial and ‘human interest’ stories that keep our name before the discerning wine public.

8. FOR THE FUTURE: The Great Southern Region has firmly established itself as the refreshing alternative to the Margaret River Region, as a wine tourism destination. The Porongurup sub-region epitomizes the scenic beauty and quality boutique winery experience many travelers look for. Recognizing this, we have begun market development for ‘Elijah’s Country Kitchen’ as a natural outgrowth of the label, it’s story and the fact that our vineyard is increasingly the destination vineyard for the region.

Preliminary approval has been obtained from the City of Albany for Elijah’s Country Kitchen to provide culinary delights for visitors to enjoy along side our premium wines during the day. The City of Albany has also provided preliminary planning approval for the construction of 3 self contained chalets overlooking the vineyard for those wishing to stay longer to enjoy the peace and tranquility.
