Unique Historic Commercial Premises.
The first unit was built in 1930 it is a weatherboard two storey building with timber floors on stumps and an iron roof. It is classified as a Restaurant for commercial purposes. There is a decked area on two sides of the building that currently house outdoor tables for diners. The second storey is one large dining room with a narrow decked terrace on two side of the building. The ceiling is pine; the floors, half the wall and stairs are jarrah; the other half of the wall would be plasterboard. The second storey houses a reverse cycle air conditioner, tables, chairs, wall lights and candelabras. The ground floor consist of two main sections; a dining room finished with half jarrah and plaster wall, jarrah flooring and exposed jarrah beams; and a fully equipped kitchen area with stainless steel benching, cooker and two cool rooms. The dining area houses and reverse cycle air condition, alarm, tables, chairs, cooler cabinet, desk, counter with till, cabinet, serving/coffee making cabinet, glass washer, glasses, wine coolers and stands, salt and pepper shakers. The kitchen section houses: a ten vent extractor system, two stoves with ten burners, three sinks, double deep fryer, grill, hotplate, dishwasher, refrigerated cabinet, bench tops and cool rooms. There is also a large evaporative cooling unit to the building.
The second unit was built in 1900 it is weatherboard with a timber floor on stumps and slat roof. It is classified as a shop for commercial purposes. The building consists of a front office situated on the main board walk with veranda; the office is currently used as a storage area; side access from the side veranda to female, male and disable toilets built for the restaurants use next door which appear to be in good condition; and small storeroom which houses cleaning equipment.
Both units are set in the Pioneer Village that houses: professional offices, youth centre, shops, Hotel, Motel and Primary School. Most the building are historic creating a yesteryear feel to the site.
