Designed for a large family, this spacious home nestles well within the street scape and the Beach House’ theme is totally appropriate to the locality.
A lot of thought went into the making of this home.
First the block. It had to be walking distance to the beach, be close to a park, but also close to the train line and the cafe strip. That’s a hard brief, but all the criteria were met in this location.
Then the house. Having previously lived in Cottesloe, the owner was well versed in the vagaries of coastal living. He wanted to create a home that was lovely to look at, large enough for his extensive family, correctly orientated on the block, suitable for all ages, and most importantly energy efficient.
Again, he ticked every box.
And so the PASSIVHAUS was born.
Being the first person in WA to build such a home was an ambitious job. An enormous amount of blood, sweat and sometimes tears has created a totally unique, environmentally sustainable home that has all the luxurious comforts and more.
