‘Barren View’ is located high in the landscape with panoramic views to the Barren Ranges just off the pristine South Coast. It is a neat tidy grazing / cropping enterprise approximately 35kms to the south east of Jerramungup.
With rainfall around 500mm annually, this property does suit grazing very well. There are very good facilities for sheep including a good shearing shed and yards along with laneways and holding paddocks.
Fencing is mainly very good with a lot new, making up 14 paddocks; all have good dam, most with a catchment as well. There are two key dams ensuring excellent water supplies.
Cropping is generally around 20-30% of the property and this year the crops look great as usual. There is 1388 Ha (3430 acres) considered croppable.
Fertility has been maintained with good applications of fertiliser over the years. Lime and gypsum have been applied as and when required.
Soil types are mainly medium mallee.
The very reliable rainfall is attributed to the close proximity of the pristine south coast. ‘Barren View’ represents very good value for money in today’s tight market; inspection will not disappoint.
